Priory Cottage, Bakewell

Priory Cottage is a cosy holiday cottage in the heart of Bakewell, the largest market town in the Peak District. Located opposite the church and surrounded by charming traditional cottages, it is perfectly placed for enjoying the town on foot. A parking permit will be waiting for you on arrival; although the parking space is a few minutes' walk from the cottage, you'll be able to start exploring Bakewell as soon as you arrive.

Independent coffee shops, restaurants and local shops are just a couple of minutes away, and we're always happy to share some of our favourite places with you. After a day exploring the Peak District, Priory Cottage is a cosy place to return to, with a lovely patio for relaxing outdoors and a welcoming fire for quiet evenings in.

With the Peak District on your doorstep, there is plenty to discover. Walk or cycle the Monsal Trail, visit Chatsworth House or explore historic Haddon Hall — and of course, leave time to enjoy Bakewell itself.

The space

Priory Cottage is a stone-built cottage full of character, with high ceilings, original sash windows, wooden cupboards and a log-burning stove. The cottage has been beautifully decorated using Farrow & Ball colours, combining traditional cottage character with modern comforts including a large Smeg range cooker, smart heating and a smart-lock keypad.

There are two reception rooms, giving you plenty of space to relax and spend time together. The living room has a large sofa and armchair, a TV with Netflix, a DVD library and a cosy fire — perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the Peak District.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and large Smeg range cooker. The dining table seats six and there is a selection of board games for relaxed evenings together.

All three spacious bedrooms are on the second floor, with comfortable beds and Harrison mattresses. The bathroom has a bathtub and some complimentary toiletries are provided.
